Aeddan is a musician, songwriter and composer from the Rhondda Valleys. With extensive experience as a live performer and producer, Aeddan is set to make a mark for himself as a musician to watch.
Fresh out of Leeds College of Music, Aeddan quickly became an in-demand session player, touring and recordings with fellow Welsh artists Kizzy Crawford, Shoebox Orchestra and Welsh Music Prize nominees Calan.
In January 2016, Aeddan self-released his debut album, ‘I Would Be Here All Night’. With its restless disregard for genre boundaries, the album attracted positive radio interest; two tracks – ‘Caught Between Steps’ and ‘She’s Under Fire’ – were featured by BBC Radio Wales, BBC 6Music and BBC Introducing.
In August 2016, Aeddan continued his prolific output with the release of ‘Sofia Can’t Walk’, the lead single from his new EP titled ‘Late For Work’. The next twelve months is proving to be a busy and exciting time for Aeddan, with more live performances booked in support of the new EP.
Aeddan’s multi-genre approach has seen him likened to musical explorers such as The Beach Boys, Talking Heads, Tom Waits, The Flaming Lips, and Peter Gabriel.
As well as writing and performing music, Aeddan is also working on a book of Welsh history that may never see the light of day. He is also inspired by the following things, and thinks you should check them out.
